Online trifft man immer wieder auf Kurzvideos in denen Userinnen* von ihren „Red Flags“ erzählen. Oft sind diese Auflistungen humorvoll, aber auch ernstgemeinte Warnungen werden geteilt.

Ana Loureiro und Zhanina Marinova befragen in einem anonymisierten Prozess (bis 15.10.2024) online und analog Frauen* wovor sie andere Frauen* basierend auf ihren Erfahrungen warnen wollen. Welche Handlungen und Äußerungen können ein Warnzeichen sein, dass eine Partnerschaft von einer Form von Gewalt geprägt sein könnte? Die Künstlerinnen entwickeln aus den gesammelten „Red Flags“ eine raumfüllende Installation, die Solidarität und Prävention in den Fokus rückt.

For many women*, violence in partnerships is an everyday occurrence. There are many different forms of violence. It is often difficult to determine when caution is required or violence begins. Online, you often come across short videos in which users talk about their ‘red flags’. These lists are often humorous, but serious warnings are also shared.

In an anonymised process (until 15 October 2024), Ana Loureiro and Zhanina Marinova are asking women* online and analogue what they want to warn other women* about based on their experiences. What actions and statements can be a warning sign that a partnership could be characterised by a form of violence? The artists use the collected ‘Red Flags’ to develop a room-filling installation that focuses on solidarity and prevention.
